WWDC 23 – Apple has announced that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 23) in an online format from June 5 through 9, 2023. The event will feature the latest advancements in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, as well as unique access to Apple engineers and new technologies and tools to help developers bring their visions to life.
According to Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, WWDC is an opportunity for Apple to connect with talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary. She added that WWDC23 will be the company’s biggest and most exciting event yet.
The online program will include keynote and State of the Union presentations, sessions, one-on-one labs, and opportunities to engage with Apple engineers and other developers. In addition, developers and students will have the opportunity to attend a special day at Apple Park on June 5 to watch the keynote and State of the Union alongside the global online community.
Space for the in-person event will be limited, and details on how to apply to attend can be found on the Apple Developer site and app. Apple will also be supporting student developers through the Swift Student Challenge, inviting students from around the world to create an app playground on a topic of their choice using the Swift programming language.
Submissions for this year’s challenge are now open, and students can submit their work through April 19. For more information, visit the Swift Student Challenge website.
Apple will share additional conference information in advance of WWDC23 through the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website. The event is free for all developers, with an opportunity for developers and students to celebrate in person at a special experience at Apple Park on opening day.
The WWDC23 event is an exciting time for Apple and developers, as it provides a platform for new technology and tools to be unveiled. Attendees can expect to learn about new features and updates to existing platforms, and how these advancements can be integrated into their own projects.
The Swift Student Challenge is another example of Apple’s commitment to supporting and elevating developers and learners of all ages who love to code. By providing students with access to Swift Playgrounds, a revolutionary app for iPad and Mac that makes learning the Swift programming language interactive and fun, Apple is helping to create the next generation of innovators and developers.
Apple has a long-standing history of supporting and working with developers, and the WWDC23 event is just one of many ways the company is continuing this tradition. By providing access to new technologies and tools, and facilitating connections between developers, Apple is helping to create a vibrant and innovative community of developers around the world.
