Hyundai Ioniq 6 Electric – The newest model of Hyundai Motor Group’s Ioniq electric car line, the Ioniq 6, was announced in the United States at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, and the company plans to market it in North America in the first half of next year.
The Ioniq 6 made records for the manufacturer by selling 37,446 units on the first day of preorders when it was introduced in South Korea in July.
“Ioniq 6 is a model which can satisfy customer needs in North America where many drivers are keen to experiencing eco-friendly EVs. This model will lead the race with other competitors with upgraded specifications such as design sportiness, interior spaciousness, various battery options and charging speed,” a statement by Jose Munoz, the global chief operating officer at Hyundai Motor.
Hyundai Motor stated that the Ioniq 6 will support the company’s electrification effort in the North American market by providing customers with a fresh new EV experience.
The Ioniq 6 was created on the automaker’s E-GMP platform, carrying over the design elements of its predecessor, the Ioniq 5. There are two variations of the device: a basic model with a battery capacity of 53 kWh and a long-range variant with a capacity of 77.4 kWh.
At the auto show, Hyundai Motor also presented the N Vision 74, the first vehicle with a combination battery motor and hydrogen fuel cell that increases extended driving range and rapid charging speed.
