Russia Space Agency Roscosmos – During an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel on Tuesday, Yury Borisov, the Head of the state corporation Roscosmos, expressed the corporation’s intention to meet with Asian partners and explore new partnership opportunities in Africa.
Borisov highlighted the challenging year that Roscosmos had faced, with Western partners abandoning many projects due to the impact of sanctions. In response to this, Roscosmos is actively seeking new partners in Asia and Southeast Asia and is optimistic about the prospect of expanding its partnerships in Africa.
“The year was not easy, and the sanctions had an impact on us as well. Many projects were abandoned by our Western partners. We are looking for new partners, and we are meeting with our partners from Asia, Southeast Asia. I am hopeful that we will also find partners in Africa,” he said.

Despite the difficulties faced by Roscosmos, Borisov emphasized that the corporation remains committed to finding a way out of the situation. He also reiterated the corporation’s belief that space should be kept out of politics.
