While Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Reuters, the company’s commitment to AI innovation, including its investment and partnership with OpenAI, has been evident. Microsoft’s rapidly growing cloud business, driven by customers seeking to develop AI applications, has propelled it to become the world’s most valuable company, surpassing tech giant Apple (AAPL.O).

The Copilot tool, described as Microsoft’s generative AI assistant, is constructed using OpenAI’s large language models. It will be integrated into Microsoft 365, the company’s productivity suite, which includes popular applications such as Word, Outlook, and Teams.

In November, Microsoft introduced Copilot to the market, offering an AI assistant capable of summarizing email inboxes and crafting presentations. The service was made available for a subscription fee of $30 per month.

The launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot signifies Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to advancing AI technologies and facilitating their integration into everyday workflows, particularly for developers utilizing its suite of productivity tools.
